Introduction
I am a REALTOR®, licensed in the state of Georgia since 2002. I am now affiliated with Southern Classic Realtors, located in Monroe, Ga. I am passionate about what I do; that is to help people make their dreams of home ownership come true.
I help my friends, friends of friends, clients, and associates buy, sell, or rent their residential property. I have lived in the Atlanta, GA area since 1989 and have lived in Alpharetta, Roswell, Duluth, Suwanee, Braselton, and Buford. My focus is to help people in Gwinnett county as well as South Forsyth, North Fulton, and South Hall counties.
I love animals of any kind (I currently have 2 cats, Bodie & Bianca, my dog, Buck, and my fish – they, too, have names). Some of my hobbies other than real estate are decorating, watching HGTV, gardening, cooking, and wine tasting!
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Closing.
I lived in Riverbrooke, a community of over 600 homes, for 16 years where I built 2 homes in the community. After 10 years in my 2nd home, I decided it was time to start anew and so the home search began. I decided to build a home, which was to take 8 months to build in South Hall county in a neighborhood called ReUnion. About 4 months into the building phase, I put my home on the market. After 3 weeks of being on the market, I received an offer on my property. I was able to negotiate a deal that wasn’t all about money — I needed a place to live for 3 months until my new home was completed!!! We were able to come to an agreement we would close March 31, 2007 and then I could continue to live in my house for 3 months until my new home was ready to go! From the time we were under contract to closing, I found out that the gentleman who was buying my home happened to be single. Since he was so nice to let me stay in my home, I invited him over to dinner the day after we closed. He showed up for dinner to my house (well, I guess, technically, it was HIS house) with flowers, wine, and chocolate. I suggested he help prepare the meal since it was his kitchen and he might as well get used to it! I found out that evening that he loves to cook, too!
We began dating that day. I did move to my new home, which had taken me 8 months to build. In October 2007, I moved back home to Riverbrooke (really, his home, but it still felt like mine) and on October 17th, 2007, Richard Alexander and I were married in Savannah, GA. Richard at that time, was a part-time Magistrate Judge in Gwinnett county and was attending some training there. We decided to get married and with all the Judges in town, it wasn’t difficult to do. The Chief Magistrate Judge, along with 11 other Judges as witnesses, married us on Columbia Square. It was quite an eventful year! And since then, we have sold each of our homes and purchased OUR home in 2008, making 3 moves in just over one year! I really don’t want to move again for a while, but would love to help others realize their dreams.
